When an interview starts off with the subject introducing themselves as a “man of dust”, you would be forgiven for thinking the subject is a bit pretentious, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.  Phil Shaheen, drummer (Tijuana Panthers), singer (Tijuana Panthers, Ottofix), artist, surf core lord, is a bit of an enigma.  Phil speaks slowly and deliberately, but sometimes it can take a moment to fully digest his meaning.
